Who Is Blac Chyna? Why Rob Kardashian’s Ex-Fiancée Is Famous

Up until she got involved with the famous Kardashian family, Blac Chyna was far from a household name. The model and entrepreneur was thrust into the limelight after ex-fiancé Rob Kardashian posted naked pictures of her to Instagram and accused her of cheating. But who was Blac Chyna before she was the mother of Dream Kardashian?

Chyna, 29, was best known as a video vixen in her early career. She posed for Dimepiece Magazine, Straight Stuntin’ Magazine and Black Men’s Magazine in 2010. The same year, Drake rapped about her in his hit single “Miss Me.” She also played the stunt double for Nicki Minaj in the video
“Monster” with Kanye West, Jay-Z and Rick Ross. The following year, she won the Model of the Year award at the Urban Model Awards and was cast in Tyga’s single “Rack City.” The two were dating at the time.

Chyna continued to pose for magazines and appear in Minaj videos, but it wasn’t until she split from Tyga and created her own make-up brand, “Lashed by Blac Chyna,” in 2014 that her notoriety took off.

Tyga dumped Chyna, the mother of his child, for 16-year-old Kylie Jenner. The two kept their relationship quiet until she turned 18. During this time, Blac Chyna and Jenner regularly engaged in social media feuds.

Chyna arguably got revenge on Jenner when she started to date her brother in January 2016. They announced their engagement three months later on Instagram. The following month, Chyna and Kardashian revealed she was pregnant. Their daughter, Dream Renee Kardashian, was born Nov. 10, 2016. Soon after her birth, Kardashian took to social media to announce Chyna cleared out their home, taking all their belongings and left him right before Christmas.

Up until Wednesday’s tirade, it was unclear if the couple was still together. For Father’s Day, they went as a family to Disneyland.

But after the Fourth of July Kardashian made it clear their relationship was over.

“Today Chyna sent me a video after I just bought her 250K of jewelry and she sends me this video... of another man in our bed,” he tweeted Wednesday. “But yes when ur girl leaves u after u spent 100K on her body to get done and then leaves u after have a baby girl who is only a few months … Just sad. Loved Chyna as my wife and accepted all the wrong she did and continued to ride for her and remain Loyal to her. Never did I cheat. But she couldn't remain loyal and cheated and f--ked way too many people and she got caught and now this is all happening and it's sad. We had a beautiful baby girl that was the best thing that's happened to me and soon as that baby was born Chyna was out. Soon as kylie and tyga broke up Chyna was over the game. She had a baby out of spite and I'll never view her the same. I truly thought Chyna wanted to be a family and that's why I was so loyal to her but I learned my lesson and everyone else was right.”
