Who Brought Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr Together? Not Orlando Bloom

No one expects a man’s girlfriend to hang out with his ex-wife, but Katy Perry likes defying expectations. The pop star was spotted with Orlando Bloom’s ex, model Miranda Kerr, over the weekend. However, there were no catfights here. The two even appeared to be friendly.

But Kerr, 33, and Perry weren’t brought together by Bloom. It was fashion designer Jeremy Scott that the stars came out to support. Scott was behind the Moschino Spring/Summer 17 runway show in Los Angeles, which Perry watched and Kerr walked in.

The celebrities hung out together after the show and were spotted talking and taking photos together. “Miranda came backstage, and she went straight to the makeup chairs where Katy was hanging out and she greeted Katy with a hug,” a source told E! Online. “They took selfies together and chatted like best friends for at least 10 minutes before Katy left.”

Kerr, who is dating Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel, doesn’t seem to have any issues with Bloom’s rumored girlfriend. In March, sources said that the two didn’t know each other very well, but there was no bad blood. E! Online reported that Kerr admired Perry and that the singer was good at helping Bloom care for his and Kerr’s 5-year-old son, Flynn. A source close to Kerr said that Perry “seems to be really good with Flynn, and that is important to her.”

Perry, 31, has gotten plenty of attention for a rumored feud between her and Taylor Swift, but she seems to be avoiding drama with the other women in Bloom’s life. Last month, Bloom was photographed spending time with Selena Gomez, spurring tons of cheating rumors. However, Perry responded to the stories on Twitter by telling fans not to pay attention to the “dumb conspiracy” and instead focus on Bloom’s charity work. Gomez retweeted the message.
