Who Is Carlos Correa's Girlfriend? Daniella Rodriguez Received World Series Proposal (Photos)
Carlos Correa won his first-ever championship Wednesday night when the Houston Astros beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the 2017 World Series. The shortstop also got engaged to be married on national television.
Shortly after the final out was recorded, Correa proposed to his girlfriend, Daniella Rodriguez. He did so while being interviewed on the field at Dodger Stadium by FOX’s Ken Rosenthal.
“It’s everything and more, man, it’s everything and more. It’s one of the biggest steps of my life. One of the biggest accomplishments of my life,” Correa told Rosenthal when asked if the feeling of winning a World Series was what he thought it would be.
“Right now, I’m about to take another big step in my life,” Correa said, taking the ring out of his back pocket and getting down on one knee.

Before the bottom of the ninth inning, Correa asked one of the clubhouse attendants to bring him the ring if the Astros won the game. Houston went into the final inning with a 5-1 lead, and Los Angeles went down quietly as the Astros clinched the title.
“I was planning if we were World Series champions, I was going to do it right there,” Correa said, via ESPN. “I don't think that's a stage you can create; it just has to happen. And we were able to win tonight, so perfect timing for me to get engaged.
“I've been thinking about it for months now, but I was waiting for the perfect opportunity, you know. I knew we had a great team, we could accomplish this, and I wasn't wrong.”
Outfielder George Springer was named the World Series MVP, but Correa was arguably the team’s second-best hitter in the Fall Classic. He was second among regular starters with a .276 batting average, hitting two home runs with five RBI in what was one of the greatest World Series in MLB history.
Rodriguez, 21, was named Miss Texas Teen USA in 2013, and she became Miss Texas USA three years later. She went to Texas A&M University.
Rodriguez has a pretty significant following of her own with nearly 80,000 Instagram followers.
