Who Is Charles Levin? Missing 'Seinfeld' Actor's Remains Reportedly Found

Human remains found in Oregon are believed to be those of Hollywood actor Charles Levin.

Levin was first reported missing from Grants Pass, Oregon, on July 8 by his son after he hadn’t heard from his father for several days, according to The Oregonian/OregonLive. On Sunday, Grants Pass Department of Public Safety provided an updated regarding the missing actor in a news release.

The release stated that on July 12, after using GPS data from Levin's cell phone, authorities were able to narrow the search area to a town southwest of Grants Pass. The following evening, authorities found his orange 2012 Fiat and Levin's pug, Boo Boo Bear, dead inside.

It took several more hours for personnel to search the "very steep and rugged" terrain before human remains were found. According to the release, there is a "high probability" that the remains are those of the 70-year-old actor. The Medical Examiner will make the final identification.

Levin was an American actor and had roles in many television shows including "Night Court," "Alice," and the highly successful sitcom "Seinfeld" where he played the mohel who cuts Jerry Seinfeld's finger in the fifth episode of show's fifth season titled, "The Bris."

Levin also had roles in more than a dozen movies, including “The Golden Child," “Annie Hall” and “This Is Spinal Tap.”
