Chrissy Teigen and singer John Legend, have a lot to celebrate this holiday season. The beautiful couple is now engaged.

Legend's publicist announced Tuesday that the singer proposed to Teigen recently in the Maldives, confirming the news to People magazine. John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives, a rep said.

No more details have been given, though the couple has publicly flaunted their romance over the past four years. The couple has been photographed at various red carpet events and Hollywood fetes. Legend has spoken about Teigen in the past, revealing some endearing details of their daily life together.

We validate or shut down whatever each of us is doing, Legend told People in May about how the pair help each other in the style department. [It's] all of the time. We were together when we picked out our clothes today. She's better [at it]. It's harder to dress a woman - there are so many options and accessories. For guys we only have so many elements.

Teigen is 26-years-old, most well-known for her swimsuit modeling. She made her rookie debut in Sports Illustrated's 2010 Swimsuit Issue. She has also appeared on Deal or No Deal, in Maxim magazine and in campaigns for Rock and Republic and Billabong. The brunette beauty is good friends with model Brooklyn Decker, who introduced her to the Sports Illustrated casting crew.

Her Twitter bio reads, i like food a lot and i like modeling a little and i like my dogs and boyfriend somewhere in between. They have been dating since 2007 and recently took a romantic getaway to Thailand.

Legend will be performing on New Year's Eve at Las Vegas' Palms Hotel.
