Who Did Negan Kill In ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 Finale? Even Actor Chandler Riggs Doesn’t Know
“Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Moe.” Who did comic book villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) kill during the Season 6 finale of “The Walking Dead”? Fans are dying to know after the hit AMC series ended with a jaw dropping cliffhanger.
Negan chose a victim Sunday night, but the camera didn’t cut to the unfortunate Alexandria survivors face. Instead, cameras shot the scene from the viewpoint of the victim — blood running down their face and all.
Of course there is a lot of speculation and theories about whose life the leader of the Saviors claimed. And it could be almost anyone. Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Aaron (Ross Marquand), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Rosita (Christian Serratos) were all captured and forced to kneel down in front of Negan.
Based on the comics, the best guess for who Negan killed would be Glenn. Episode 16 even briefly touched on the graphic novels by having Glenn yell and jump out of line when Negan threatened to put a sick looking Maggie out of her misery. Instead of punishing Glenn, he told the survivor that his first outburst was “free.”
It might be too “easy” to kill Glenn. The show writers could kill off another character that fans don’t see coming. For instance, Daryl is not in the comics, which means that anything involving his fate is up in the air. Meanwhile, Abraham is already dead in the comics. Dwight kills the former sergeant with a crossbow while he’s out on a run. Denise’s (Merritt Wever) death in episode 14 was pretty similar to Abraham’s graphic novel death, and he could be on borrowed time. It also doesn’t help that Abraham was talking to Sasha about the possibility of one day having a kid.
The good news is that fans know for a fact that Negan’s victim is not Carl or Rick. Once the leader of the Saviors chose who he was going to kill he told his men to cut out Carl’s other eye and “feed it to his father” if anyone moved or said anything.
Surprisingly, a cast member doesn’t even know who Negan killed. Actor Chandler Riggs took to Twitter after the finale aired to console fans and admit that he’s in the dark.
Negan’s victim will be revealed when “The Walking Dead” Season 7 premieres on AMC in the fall. Who do you think the big bad villain killed? Tweet your thoughts to @AmandaTVScoop and take the poll below:
