Who Is Dillon King? '19 Kids And Counting' Star Amy Duggar Announces She's Engaged

Another Duggar wedding is on the way. “19 Kids and Counting” star Amy Duggar is engaged.

Amy, who is a niece to “19 Kids” leads Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, took to Instagram on Tuesday night to announce she's officially engaged to Dillon King. “I’m so happy to announce… WE ARE ENGAGED!!!!!” Amy posted to the site alongside a shot of her engagement ring. “He loves the Lord, he makes me laugh uncontrollably, he’s loyal, he’s patient, he’s my best friend! Of course I said yes!!”

Dillon posted a similar announcement on his Instagram page on Tuesday. “@amyduggar I asked you to be my fiancée not just because I love you right now. I got down on one knee because you are the only woman I have and will truly love forever,” he wrote. His post was accompanied by a photo collage showing the outdoor locale where he proposed, a shot of Amy’s ring and of himself kissing his new bride-to-be.

Amy revealed in February that she and Dillon were committed to being together and had started shopping for engagement rings. “There is no time frame. I have no idea when it’s happening,” Amy told RadarOnline of Dillon’s proposal plans. “I don’t want to be involved in the actual engagement, so it’s going to be a huge surprise!”

So, just who is Dillon King? For “19 Kids” fans not in the know, Amy has been dating Dillon for several months. His Instagram page reveals he’s religious, a big foodie — after all, his username is King Dill Pickle! — loves country music and enjoys the great outdoors, especially when it involves hunting.

As for a job, Dillon works for Wet Ink Design, a Rogers, Arkansas, company which specialized in transfer printing and vehicle restoration and modification. He frequently shows off his work on social media.

While the couple has only known each other since last summer — Dillon says they first met on July 11, 2014 — they have been through quite a lot together. Dillon’s was involved in a head-on collision in January which required him to be hospitalized and have surgery. “Broke my femur and had to have surgery,” he posted to Instagram alongside an image of Amy sitting by his hospital bed.

Amy’s engagement occurred just before another exiting moment in the Duggar family. Jim Bob and Michelle’s daughter-in-law, Anna Duggar, is about to give birth to her fourth child. Anna was due to welcome a daughter with husband Josh, 27, on July 10, but is now overdue. Jim Bob and Michelle’s daughter Jessa, 22, will also welcome a baby in 2015. Her child of an undermined gender with husband Ben Seewald is due to arrive on Nov. 1.
