Hayes Grier, the teen social media celebrity, has sustained two fractured ribs and a bruised lung after being involved in a car crash Thursday, according to reports. Soon after news of the accident broke, his fans began trending #PrayForHayes on Twitter.

Grier’s brother Nash first broke the news of the 16-year-old’s accident to his 5.6 million Twitter followers. No further details were given surrounding the crash involving the Vine star.

“Earlier today, Hayes Grier was involved in a dirt bike accident and immediately transported to a local hospital. Hayes suffered a concussion, broken rib, bruised lung, and multiple skin lacerations. Thankfully, he is OK and currently resting and recovering in the hospital surrounded by his family, where he will remain for the next few days. We can’t thank you all enough for the outpouring of prayers and support for Hayes,” Grier’s representative said, in a statement.

Grier is has over 14 million followers across Facebook, Vine, Instagram and YouTube. He was recently a contestant on the 21st edition of the ABC ballroom competition “Dancing with the Stars.” He is also expected to take part in comedy series “Top Grier” set to premiere this fall.
