Jennifer Lawrence and boyfriend Cooke Maroney are engaged!

Lawrence, 28, was spotted sporting a ring when she and her now-fiancé, 33, stepped out in New York on Tuesday, sparking engagement rumors. The Oscar-winning actress and Maroney reportedly "seemed like they were celebrating" something at Raoul's restaurant, according to Page Six, and it seems they actually had something to be happy about. The couple has reportedly decided to tie the knot, Us Weekly confirmed.

Lawrence and Maroney were first linked to each other in June last year. Since then, the couple had been spotted together in New York City and Paris multiple times. Last month, an insider told Us Weekly that the "Hunger Games" star and her beau were "very serious" about each other.

But who exactly is Maroney? Lawrence's fiancé isn't a celebrity, unlike her previous boyfriends, Chris Martin, Darren Aronofsky and Nicholas Hoult. The 33-year-old graduated from New York University with an art history degree and currently works as a director at Gladstone 64, the Upper East Side location of Gladstone Gallery.

His love for art may have been inherited as according to a Medium profile, Cooke's father, James Maroney, was an art dealer in Manhattan. The latter apparently used to be senior vice-president & head of American paintings at Christie's. Nowadays, Mr. Maroney and his wife, Suki Fredericks, own the Oliver Hill Farm in Vermont, which is where Cooke grew up.

Cooke and Lawrence reportedly met through the actress' best friend, Laura Simpson, Page Six reported. The couple began dating in May last year. And like Lawrence, Cooke apparently likes to have fun as an insider told The Cut that he "goes to a lot of art-world parties." But while he enjoys partying and having a drink sometimes, he's not "out of control."

"He likes to have fun, a young [good-looking] New York guy who likes to participate and have fun," the source said. "When we would hang out, we would definitely drink; we would have fun."
