Jonathan Wesley Harris, 31, has been found guilty of first degree murder for the death of former Playboy model Christina Carlin- Kraft. He was convicted on Thursday for killing Kraft at her Philadelpia apartment on August 22, 2018 for not paying for cocaine he sold her.

According to The Mercury, Harris said justice was served after he left court. In the closing argument Harris's attorney argued that he never intended to kill Carlin-Kraft. He admitted to the murder to the police that he strangled and killed her.

Here are five facts about the case:

1.Jonathan Harris is an Ex- Con

The New York Post reported that ex- con Harris beat up and strangled former Playboy model Christina Carlin- Kraft in her apartment on the 100 block of Sibley Avenue in the Ardmore section of Lower Merion. Harris admitted to selling Kraft drugs and fled the scene after the incident. He was arrested on a bus to Pittsburgh and was taken into custody.

2.Harris sold cocaine to Kraft

Harris met Kraft in center city Philadelphia on August 22 morning and they went to Kraft’s apartment. Argument broke out between the two when Kraft didn’t give him sufficient amount for the cocaine he had sold her. Reports suggests he told police that they were high on drugs when the argument broke out. But toxicology report suggests that Kraft’s blood- alcohol level was three times the legal limit but had no cocaine or any other drugs in her system.

3. He confessed to his crime to the police

Harris allegedly admitted to the authorities that he slapped Kraft in the face, tied her hands to the bed. He violently punched her on the face and strangled her to death. Her body was discovered with broken bones.

4. He faced charges of first, second and third degree murders

Harris faced charges of first degree murder for intentional killing. Second degree murder for killing committed during the course of felony like robbery. Finally, third degree murder for killing with malice.

5. Harris pleaded not guilty in court

Harris’s attorney claimed that he had no intention of killing her. His lawyer also claimed that Harris was high on drugs when the incident happened and that he didn’t do it intentionally. But a man who shared room with Harris in the hospital testified that Harris told him that “there was nothing like squeezing somebody and feeling their last breath, ” reported The Mercury. Harris was emotionless and sitting with his attorney during the testimony.
