Who Is Kayla Rae Reid? Ryan Lochte Instagrams Underwater Baby Bump Picture Of Pregnant Fiancée

Twelve-time Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte got the greatest Christmas gift: His fiancée Kayla Rae Reid is pregnant. Lochte took to Instagram Wednesday to announce the happy news.

Lochte posted a photo of himself killing Reid’s belly underwater. “My Christmas gift came early this year, can't wait for next year! Best news I've ever received,” he wrote. The swimmer added “Cloud 9,” “excited,” “family,” “love” and “2017.” Within minutes, his post was liked more than 24,000 times by his 997,000 followers.

Reid shared a different underwater baby bump picture. “Just when you think you think you have it all figured out, life always surprises you with blessings when least expect it,” she wrote. “So excited to share this news with all of you!”

Lochte, 32, proposed to Kayla Rae Reid two months ago. Like Reid’s pregnancy, he announced his engagement on Instagram. “Memories forever!!! #thelochtes #LA,” he wrote Oct. 9. Reid added: “Speechless. Absolutely beautiful. So in love with YOU.”

The couple met at a Los Angeles nightclub in January. “From the very first time I met her, everything has like clicked,” he told USA Today Oct. 3. “That's why I know I can propose to her because everything that's happened and she's been keeping me so positive. She doesn't care about my fame. She doesn't care about anything. All she cares about is me being happy.”

Reid stuck by his side after he lied about being robbed at gunpoint at the Rio Olympics. “When I realized this was ‘the one' was when she stuck behind me through this. She still loves me and she's still right there with me,” he said. “My family says, ‘Don't you think it's a little too soon?' I'm like, ‘Can you put a time on love? Can you?’”
