Who Is Kayti Edwards? Dax Shepard Slams Affair With Julie Andrews' Granddaughter

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are happy and in love, and no mere cheating allegation from Julie Andrews' granddaughter, Kayti Edwards, is going to break apart the celebrity couple.

Shepard, 43, took to Instagram on Thursday to shut down Edwards' claims that the actor had an affair with her a couple of years after he started dating the "Frozen" star.

In response to the 41-year-old's shocking allegation, he revealed that the photos of him and Edwards making out in a photo booth were taken years before he started dating Bell.

Shepard added that he is not Edwards' first victim since she has apparently been selling false stories about male celebrities to the press. The actor jokingly ended his post with a shoutout to Edwards that he will be watching out for her next “story,” hoping it would be about Brad Pitt this time.

“Hey Daily Mail, that photo is 13 years old, not 9. Also, Kayti has sold stories to tabloids about Matthew Perry, Jack Osbourne, Kid Rock, and now me,” he wrote on Instagram, addressing the news outlet that published Edwards’ story and photos.

“I look forward to her next one. Fingers crossed it’s about my #1, Brad Pitt :)," he added.

Shepard's response comes a day after Daily Mail published the story about their alleged affair. In the report, the step-granddaughter of Andrews claimed she and Shepard hooked up in 2009 at a private party in Hollywood. She also shared photos of her and the “Parenthood” star making out in a photo booth during the party, claiming they went back to a friend’s place after a few moments.

Edwards claimed she didn't know he was dating Bell at the time and that Shepard didn't seem to care that he was in a relationship. She alleged that the actor only realized that they could be seen by other people outside the photo booth after their makeout session.

So who exactly is Kayti Edwards? Shepard's ex is the child of Jennifer Edwards. She isn't exactly related by blood to the “Sound of Music” and “Princess Diaries” superstar because Jennifer is Julie Andrews’ husband Blake Edwards’ daughter from his first marriage.

The heavily tattooed Edwards used to work as a model. She also previously worked as a stripper, but she’s now married and lives in Lake Arrowhead, California.

Edwards has also been linked to several celebrities, including Perry, Osborne and Kid Rock. Earlier this year, she opened up about her relationship with the “Friends” star, as well as the actor's struggle with substance abuse.

In February, she was called the “homewrecker” responsible for the relationship troubles between Kid Rock and his fiancée Audrey Berry. However, she denied allegations that she had an affair with the musician for a decade.

She also made headlines after being spotted with Osborne, but Edwards said that she and the reality star are only friends and have known each other for a long time.

As for Shepard, he and Bell tied the knot in October 2013 and are now proud parents to daughters, five-year-old Lincoln and three-year-old Delta.
