Who Is Leah McSweeney? Meet The Newest 'Real Housewives Of New York City' Addition
Watch out New York; there's a new housewife in town. Meet Leah McSweeney.
It's only been one day since "The Real Housewives Of New York City" star Bethenny Frankel announced she's leaving the show, but Bravo isn't wasting any time finding a replacement. Production for Season 12 of the hit reality series began on Wednesday, and it appears the newest cast member has already been put to work.
"Leah is a friend of Tinsley [Mortimer's], and the two have already filmed a workout scene together," an insider told Entertainment Tonight.
ET reached out to the network for comment, but they do not comment on casting decisions.
So, who is Leah McSweeney?
Leah is mother, entrepreneur and founder and CEO of Married to the MOB, a street-inspired feminine clothing line.
The 36-year-old is a New York native who, according to her company's website, emerged on the fashion scene in 2004 after winning a $75,000.00 lawsuit against the New York City Police Department for a "false arrest." She then used the settlement to "finance her dream of creating streetwear for women, by women."
Reality TV will be a new venture for Leah, but thankfully she already has ties to Tinsley who has been on "RHONY" since Season 9.
In addition to Tinsley, Leah will be joining fellow housewives Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Luanne de Lesseps, and Dorinda Medley.
