Who shot Tupac? Man admits to shooting rapper Tupac Shakur
Dexter Isaac, a longtime associate of hip-hop mogul James Jimmy Henchman Rosemond, released a statement to AllHipHop.com confessiong to shooting rap star Tupac Shakur in 1994.
I want to apologize to his family [Tupac's] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman], Isaac said from prison. I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Notorious B.I.G's] mothers some closure.
Tupac was murdered on Sept. 7, 1996 in Las Vegas by two unnamed assailants. The shooting Isaac admits to happened two years earlier. Isaac alleges that Jimmy Henchman hired him to rob Tupac. He gave me $2,500 plus all the jewelry I took, except for one ring, which he wanted for himself, Isaac wrote. It was the biggest of the two diamond rings that we took. He said he wanted to put the stone in a new setting for his girlfriend...I still have as proof the chain we took that night in the robbery.
Jimmy Henchman has been a hip-hop mogul for a long time and is currently CEO of Czar Entertainment which manages The Game and Sean Kingston. Jimmy turned himself in on drug charges in May and named Isaac in a statement he made defending his own innocence.
