Update: Aguilar-Cruz and the man accused of abducting her were found safe but police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her believed kidnapping.

An AMBER Alert has been issued in Virginia and Maryland for Sinahi Aguilar-Cruz, 16, who was last reported seen in Woodbridge, Va., and is considered to be in “extreme danger,” according to Prince William County Police.

Virginia State Police, the Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse and the National Center for Missing & Exploited children have placed urgent AMBER alerts messages out to the public near Woodbridge, Va., and Prince William County surrounding areas. Sinahi Aguilar Cruz was listed as missing this morning and is described as white with brown eye and hair color and 5 feet, 2 inches tall. She was last seen wearing a white long sleeved shirt with purple stripes, denim pants and a light colored jacket.

She is also described as having braces, a gold watch and pierced ears, according to WTOP. Segovia may be wearing a black V-neck, jeans and white Nike shoes.

Police say Aguilar-Cruz is in “extreme danger” and was “likely abducted by Roberto Medrano Segovia, a 21-year old man. The two are potentially traveling in a “dark Honda Civic” with a possible hatchback make on the vehicle. Aguilar-Cruz was last seen at 14807 Danville Road in Woodbridge, Virginia around 1:40 a.m. Sunday morning. Police say Segovia is the person who likely abducted her against her will.

Virginia State Police and the associated law enforcement agencies urge anyone with potential tips to immediately notify Prince William County Police at (703)792-6500 or to call the state police at 1-800-822-4453 (1-800-VACHILD).
