Who Is Van Jones? Meet The Man Rumored To Be Dating Kim Kardashian

Amid reports that Kim Kardashian is being courted by a long list of influential and wealthy suitors following her split from Kanye West, the rumors that she’s been enjoying a low-key romantic relationship with Van Jones continue to persist. But who is Jones and why is he being linked to the reality star for months now?

Born Anthony Kapel Jones, the 52-year-old media personality, who prefers to be called “Van,” is a CNN political contributor and the host of “The Van Jones Show” and “The Redemption Project,” a TV program that tackles criminal justice reform.

He is also a social entrepreneur who co-founded a number of nonprofit organizations, including the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, the Dream Corps, ColorofChange.org, GreenforAll.org and Rebuild The Dream, as indicated on his personal website.

Jones has also made an impact as an author as he was even recognized as a New York Times bestseller three times. Some of his most notable written works include “Beyond the Messy Truth,” “Redefining Black Power” and “The Green Collar Economy.”

The Jackson, Tennessee, native currently splits his time between Los Angeles and New York City. However, his living arrangements could change in the near future as he is currently being linked to the 40-year-old “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star, who lives full-time in L.A.

Kardashian and Jones became friends long before the dating rumors surfaced. And it seems the KKW Beauty founder’s fondness for law drew them closer. Back in November 2018, they were spotted attending the 1st Annual Criminal Justice Reform Summit in West Hollywood. The two even posed for the cameras at the event.

The rumors that the two started dating began earlier this year, around the same time several news outlets reported that Kardashian was already done with her marriage to West and was contemplating on divorcing him despite having four kids together — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 1.

A month later, Kardashian put her plans into action by officially filing for divorce from West on Feb. 19 after six years of marriage. An unnamed source at the time confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the two are committed to co-parenting their children.

Meanwhile, the dating rumors between Kardashian and Jones had somehow lost steam for some time until this week when Page Six brought them back to the spotlight once again.

Both Kardashian and Jones have yet to address the romance speculation. And even though an insider recently claimed that Kris Jenner’s daughter is “not looking for anyone” amid her divorce from West, the rumors romantically linking her to Jones continue to persist, especially with fans rooting for them.

“I try not to dip too deep into the gossip pool but Kim Kardashian & Van Jones is not far off base, she’s trying to pass the California Bar to become a lawyer. Van Jones is a lawyer. At least she’s calculated,” one person tweeted in January.
