Who Was Best Dressed At Golden Globes 2014? Jennifer Lawrence, Taylor Swift, Julianna Margulies, Lupita Nyong'o And More
Sure, winning a beautiful Golden Globe is the main reason many of the celebrities of Hollywood show up to the first major awards show of the year, but it’s certainly not the only. For many, the fashion is one of the most exciting parts of the night and this year’s ladies wore some show-stopping ensembles.
“Good Wife” star Julianna Margulies wowed twitter with her gown. She sleeked her dark black locks back in a side swept ‘do and accessorized with beautiful earrings. But, most everyone on Twitter couldn’t get over how gorgeous her black and gold gown looked. User @stylepanty wrote: “Julianna Margulies looks stunning on the red carpet.”
Jennifer Lawrence was one of the bold A-listers who proved that wearing white after Labor Day is no longer a fashion faux pas. The “American Hustle” beauty wore Dior for the big event, where she is up for a Golden Globe for the third time this evening for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture. Just as she was stepping up for her interview on the red carpet, she met with Taylor Swift, who briefly explained how much she loved the “22” singer’s performance at the Country Music Awards.
Speaking of the blonde pop crooner, Swift wore her favorite color to the Golden Globes: red. Though she looked beautiful, most people are talking about how J-Law photobombed the singer during her interview with Ryan Seacrest.
Another starlet who wore red was “12 Years A Slave” star Lupita Nyong'o. The Los Angeles Times labeled her fashion’s new “it” girl, who wore Ralph Lauren to the event on Sunday night.
Other stars who received positive attention for their ensembles were “Girls” star Zosia Mamet, “Harry Potter” actress Emma Watson, Sofia Vergara (who joked that her dress was fit in order that she could slip extra family members into it), pregnant “Scandal” star Kerry Washington and “Nashville” sensation Hayden Panettiere.
