Who Will Replace Nick Cannon As ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 12 Host?
Nick Cannon won’t be returning for the 12th season of “America’s Got Talent,” but a new face may be joining the show.
The funnyman took his thoughts about the “America’s Got Talent” to Facebook and announced his decision to leave the hit reality TV show. Cannon also revealed that some network executives threatened to fire him because one of his jokes in his upcoming comedy show on Showtime. Cannon expressed his disappointment over the fact that he was publicly reprimanded and ridiculed for a single joke that he made.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Cannon made fun of NBC in his stand-up special, “Stand Up, Don’t Shoot.”
Cannon’s exit leaves NBC with the difficult task of finding a new host for “America’s Got Talent” Season 12. Luckily, filming for the new episodes have not yet commenced. But the producers and staff of the reality TV show have already completed auditions in select parts of the United States. According to Gold Derby, “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest could take his place if NBC won’t revive the singing reality TV show.
“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 will premiere on NBC in May.
