“Queer Eye’s” Jonathan Van Ness announced on New Year’s Day that he and his now-husband, Mark Peacock, have been married since the summer of 2020.

This news came as a shock and surprise to many since there wasn’t anything indicating marriage or a serious relationship on either of their social media accounts.

The couple took the news to Instagram where they both posted heartfelt photos with each other and their families while telling their fans and followers their relationship timeline.

“We went on a date in London, which turned into more dates whilst I was on comedy tour. At the end of that time I was taking my mom, aunt & friends on a mini break to Amsterdam. I wanted @marklondon to come with but, was it a bit intense to ask Mark to come after a couple weeks worth’s of dates to come meet my mom & and friends on a mini break? Maybe so, but something about Mark felt different and I’m quite sure he felt the same,” Jonathan said.

Mark announced that he made the move from London to the States in 2020 to live with his husband. From his Instagram, followers can see that he’s very into gardening, pottery, fitness and traveling.

In 2013, the Essex native was even featured on the cover of “Men’s Health” in the UK, Style Caster reported. Followers can also see that he is very interested in cycling and taking various boot camp and biking classes.

What he plans on doing while in the U.S. is unclear, but he’s eluded to taking care of their four cats and a rescued Jack Russell named Pablo.

He took the news of his marriage to his own Instagram after Jonathan’s announcement to tell the world about his feelings and happiness.

“2020 brought on more changes than I’ve ever been a part of before. I left London and moved across the Atlantic, got dressed up for numerous seriously hilarious zoom quizzes, re-discovered a love for gardening, learn to drive on the left, got married to my soulmate and one true love @jvn,” Mark captioned his Instagram photo.
