Brad Pitt was certainly one of the funniest special guests on the hit TV series “Friends.” The actor received an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Will Colbert in the ninth episode of the eighth season, which aired on Nov. 22, 2001. But it has now been revealed that Pitt was a bit reluctant in accepting the role opposite Jennifer Aniston.

According to Hollywood Life, Pitt, who was married to Aniston at that time, was hesitant to accept the role in the first place because he did not have any experience performing in front of a live audience.

The show’s creator, David Crane, told the publication that the “Ad Astra” star needed some persuasion in accepting the part. Crane revealed that Pitt needed to have a very specific skill set while representing himself in front of an audience and it can get a bit of intimidating while performing live for the first time in your career.

“I think [there was] a little bit [of hesitation]. Only because he had never done TV in front of an audience, and it’s a very specific skill set,” Crane said.

Crane also admitted that getting Pitt for the role was a dream come true for him. The writing team badly wanted him to accept the role and “really went after” the actor as they really wanted him to share the screen with Aniston. The show’s creator was really excited and thrilled when the “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” actor said “yes” for the part and insisted that it was just a “great piece of casting.”

The couple ended their relationship just four years after that particular episode aired, and he started dating Angelina Jolie then.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Aniston attempted to reconcile with the “World War Z” actor. However, the alleged reconciliation reportedly did not work out. The “Murder Mystery” star seems to be bouncing back to the dating scene again. An unnamed source reportedly told Star Magazine that Aniston is now looking for a serious relationship and even asked her friends to help her in finding a partner.

In related news, the “Horrible Bosses” star recently opened up about the grueling fitness routine that helps her in maintaining her flawless figure. Aniston revealed that she sticks to a fitness regimen of 16-hour fasts, works out for six days a week and consumes green juice daily to maintain her enviable body.
