Why Bravo Canceled ‘Real Housewives Of New York City’ Season 13 Reunion
Following numerous filming delays over the last few months, Bravo has officially canceled “The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 13 reunion special due to scheduling issues.
In July, sources told Us Weekly filming for the “RHONY” reunion was postponed and expected to take place in September.
Production for the special had been repeatedly delayed over the last few months until the network recently announced the decision to cancel the reunion between cast members.
“Due to scheduling challenges around taping the reunion of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ in a timely manner, Bravo confirmed there will not be a reunion for this season,” a spokesperson for the network said in a statement.
“It’s disappointing to not be able to bring the cast back together, but we are happy to have ended on such a high note with the final and are now shifting our focus to next season.”
Meanwhile, a source told Entertainment Tonight the women are “beyond frustrated” with the network and its lack of communication throughout the ordeal.
“They never got clear answers,” the insider explained. “They just wanted to say their piece and move on. Some of the ladies feel like the reunion would’ve given them a chance to come together as a united front and put the negative energy of the season behind them.”
Due to the cancelation of the “RHONY” Season 13 reunion, the cast reportedly feels they will be left without any closure to the issues they faced throughout Season 13 and fans will be left without answers.
“Now they feel like they’re going out with a whimper instead of a bang,” the source said.
The cancelation comes amid reported filming delays for “RHONY” Season 14. The Bravo reality series typically tapes its reunion in August and begins filming episodes for the new season in the fall. However, it remains unclear when production for the upcoming season will begin.
