Why Danielle Staub Will 'Never' Return To 'The Real Housewives Of New Jersey'

Danielle Staub is saying goodbye forever to "The Real Housewives of New Jersey."

Staub announced her decision during an appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" on Wednesday night, saying, "Well I have over the past 12 years and 10 seasons been a part of this whole franchise and I've been very happy to rally and stand on the platform and be here with all of you, but it is time for me to leave and do something that I want to do that makes my heart happy every day."

She added, "I will never be returning as a Housewife again."

Staub was a full-time cast member on "RHONJ" for Seasons 1-2 and appeared as a friend for Seasons 8-10. Her departure from the hit reality series doesn't mean she's finished being in front of the camera, though. When asked what she will do next the 57-year-old answered, "I am going to start my own cooking channel."

"I love it, Andy. Cooking is therapy to me," she continued. "So, I'm basically calling it cooking therapy, and I find my peace in the kitchen."

Cohen genuinely appeared shocked at Staub's decision to leave "RHONJ," however, she isn't the first Housewife to quit. Most recently, Bethenny Frankel of "The Real Housewives of New York City" revealed that she was leaving the show ahead of Season 12.

"I have decided to leave the 'Housewives' franchise to explore my next chapter," the 49-year-old said in August. "It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women."

Lisa Vanderpump of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" also shared she would not be returning last year.

"I made the decision to leave," Vanderpump shared at the time. "The 'Housewives', it's just, it's emotionally too difficult to deal with."

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
