Why Did Chris Brown Allegedly Point A Gun At Baylee Curran? Beauty Queen Speaks Out After Brown's Arrest
Chris Brown made headlines after reportedly aiming a gun at beauty queen Baylee Curran on Tuesday in his Tarzana home. However, Brown has vehemently denied the reports, saying that no such thing happened. But what is the truth?
Curran has shared her side of the story during an interview with E! News. According to the aspiring actress, the incident occurred in Brown's kitchen, where she had been looking at the jewelry on display. Curran said she didn't even touch the necklace she had been admiring. “I admired this one piece, a diamond cross necklace. I did not pick it up, I did not touch it, take it or grab it, anything to that sort,” she recalled.
However, one of the rapper's friends then told her not to touch the jewelry and to leave the house immediately. When she didn't do as told, he started calling her all sorts of insults. “That's when Chris Brown kind of went off, pulled out a gun and said, ‘Get the f--k out,’” the 24-year-old told the news outlet. “He was saying, ‘Get the f--k out! Haven't I told you guys enough?' And kind of threatening me with the gun like if I didn't get out he's going to shoot me with it.”
When Brown continued to point the gun at her, Curran then left the house in a hurry. However, she realized that she'd left her shoes and cell phone, which she had to give up before entering the star's home that night. She went back to retrieve them, but she was stopped from leaving the house again with her things by one of Brown's pals who wanted her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
Refusing to sign the NDA, Curran took her phone by force and ran away. She hid under a truck when she saw Brown's friends chasing her. “Once they reached the area of the truck they turned around and went back up the driveway,” she explained, adding that the rapper's neighbors called the authorities when they saw her running away from Brown's home.
Curran explained that Brown aimed a gun only at her that night and added that though she has hung out with the rapper “several times before,” this was the first time an incident like this has occurred.
Brown has since been arrested by Los Angeles police and charged with assault with a deadly weapon after a stand-off with authorities that lasted for nine hours, Entertainment Weekly reported. Prior to his arrest, Brown blasted reports claiming he pointed a gun at Curran, taking to Instagram to post two videos explaining his side of the story. In the first Instagram video, he denied any connection with Curran and insisted that he was “innocent” of the claims. He also condemned reports pinning him as the “villain” in a second video.
