Why Isn’t Fox’s ‘What Just Happened??!’ On Tonight? Return Date Revealed
Fox’s new series, “What Just Happened??! With Fred Savage,” which is a very real talk show about a very fictional TV series called “The Flare,” is taking tonight off, as well as next Sunday night.
Instead of airing the Fred Savage-hosted show, Fox will be showing the 2019 Teen Choice Awards tonight, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EDT, and, on Sunday, Aug. 18, an NFL preseason game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Minnesota Vikings will air.
When the talk show comedy series finally returns on Aug. 25, fans will be treated to not one but two new episodes. They won’t air back to back, though.
“Family Guy” will air at 9 p.m. EDT, in between the two new episodes of “What Just Happened??! With Fred Savage.” Check out all of the details for each of the Aug. 25 episodes below.
Season 1, episode 7 (titled “Neighbor”)
Air date and time: Aug. 25 at 8:30 p.m. EDT.
Special guests: Eric Stonestreet and Randall Park
Synopsis (per Fox): “Fred struggles to discuss the mysterious cliffhanger from ‘The Flare’ and speak with his guests because of a new noisy neighbor on the stage next door. After the neighbor wins Taylor over, Fred has to try to get through the show on his own.”
Season 1, episode 8 (titled “Elevator”)
Air date and time: Aug. 25 at 9:30 p.m. EDT
Special guests: Ike Barinholtz, Jillian Bell and Taran Killam
Synopsis (per Fox): “When Fred gets stuck in an elevator and is unable to host the show, Taylor must face her biggest fear, hosting the show alone.”
