Why Jennifer Aniston Skipped Oscars 2021? Twitter Revisits ‘Friends’ Star’s Previous Red Carpet Looks

Jennifer Aniston didn't make an appearance at the Oscars on Sunday night, so the netizens decided to revisit her previous red carpet looks.

The "Friends" star skipped the Oscars 2021 and her absence wasn't really surprising because she has no reason to be there. "The Morning Show" had no nomination this year, Cosmopolitan reported. Also, she wasn't among the presenters unlike her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, who rocked a man bun at the event.

Several were sad that they didn't see her at the awarding ceremony and they took to Twitter to let Aniston know that they were thinking of her during the event.

"Even though Jennifer Aniston won’t be giving us an Oscar look this year, I just know she looks absolutely stunning right now," one tweeted.

"If I was producing the Oscars this year I would have just brought a camera to Jennifer Aniston’s house and had her open all the envelopes as she finished a bottle of wine and have her FaceTime each winner," Josh Duboff, senior writer at Vanity Fair, wrote.

"Miss her #Oscars #jenniferaniston," another added while sharing photos of Aniston's previous appearances at the Oscars in 2009, 2013, 2015 and 2017.

Another netizen shared photos of Aniston with her ex-husband, Justin Theroux, when they arrived on the red carpet at the Oscars in 2013. In the photo, Aniston is wearing a red Valentino gown with a bold ball gown skirt. Aniston let her hair down and accessorized with a pair of earrings, bracelets and a matching clutch, Hollywood Life reported. Meanwhile, Theroux was dapper in his black tuxedo.

"In honor of the oscars today, Jennifer Aniston on the red carpet," another user tweeted while sharing Aniston's 2015 Oscars look. The "Cake" star was stunning when she graced the event six years ago wearing a champagne one-shoulder beaded gown.

She was present at the event because she was among the presenters. However, many believed that she should be nominated for her lead dramatic role in "Cake" at the time. Her performance in the film also earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Drama, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Aniston donned black gowns when she attended the Oscars in 2000, 2006 and 2017. Aniston made her first Academy Awards appearance with her ex-husband, Pitt, months before they tied the knot in 2000. In 2006, she sported a Rochas gown and jewelry when she made her first appearance at the award show after their divorce. In 2017, she looked sexy in her plunging, black sequin Atelier Versace gown with a thigh-high split, Harper’s Bazaar reported.
