Meghan Markle surprisingly attended a public yoga class in New York City this week.

The Duchess of Sussex flew to the United States via a commercial flight to watch her friend Serena Williams’ tennis match. According to Hello! magazine, Prince Harry’s wife attended a yoga class with 60 other people at the Modo Yoga Studio to help ease her jet lag.

Markle has been living in the United Kingdom for over a year, which means that her body has adjusted to the U.K. time. Prior to her move to the U.K., Markle lived in the United States all her life.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex has been a yoga practitioner for years. In fact, her mom, Doria Ragland, is also a trained yoga instructor. The “Suits” alum has also sworn by all of the benefits of yoga, and she was talked about them on her social media account and her lifestyle blog, The Tig.

A source told People that Markle has been going to Modo Yoga Studio every time she’s in the United States to help fight her jet lag.

“There were lots of sweet, knowing smiles. She has been going to Modo Yoga for many years and tries to do so whenever she is in New York … It was the perfect remedy for jet lag,” the source said.

In related news, Markle opted to take a commercial flight to the U.S. this week. The decision came after she and Prince Harry were criticized for taking a private jet to Nice and Ibiza with their son, Archie.

Weeks later, Prince Harry released a statement saying that he and his family decided to take a private jet to ensure their safety. However, the Duke of Sussex’s explanation still drew negative reactions from critics.

After all, Prince William and Kate Middleton recently traveled with their kids to their vacation destination. But the Cambridges opted to take a commercial flight instead of a private jet.
