Why Prince Harry Is Getting On Meghan Markle’s ‘Last Nerve’

They may be royal and seem to have everything they could want at their fingertips, but that doesn’t mean Meghan Markle and Prince Harry don’t deal with the same marital struggles as other couples—and one habit that Prince Harry has is reportedly getting on his wife’s nerves.

According to a report on The Real, Meghan Markle has a bit of an issue with something Prince Harry continually does around their homes, though it’s something he picked up from his own father, Prince Charles, and it’s unlikely to change.

“While the royal couple may look picture perfect from the outside, apparently the Duchess of Sussex has a bone to pick with his Royal Highness,” panelist Adrienne Bailon said. “Harry is obsessed with constantly turning off the lights in their home and it’s getting on Meghan’s last nerve.”

“It seems Harry picked up the energy-saving habit from his father, Prince Charles, who is a long-time environmentalist,” she continued. “Meghan literally said she hates the dark—I don’t know if she’s afraid of the dark but she hates the dark—but literally she’ll walk out of a room and he’ll hit the light. Walk out the next room, he’ll hit the light and she’s like ‘what the heck?’”

However, the Duchess may find herself as the only one who finds the habit annoying, as guest co-host April Ryan applauded Harry’s move, admitting that it’s important to her that a similar action occurs in her home at all times.

Markle may also be alone when it comes to her royal family members with hating the lights off as well. While Prince Harry allegedly picked up the habit of turning them off from Prince Charles, he likely picked it up from his own mother, Queen Elizabeth II. It’s been reported in the past that she will also go around various castles turning off lights, and has even banned bulbs over 40 watts from being used.

The report of this alleged marital issue comes shortly after commentators voiced a belief that Prince Harry is actually “miserable” in his marriage, because of his wife’s “difficult” reputation.
