Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have stepped down from their senior royal roles and moved to the U.S., the couple has become more vocal about issues the royal family would typically avoid.

However, it appears the famed couple is not willing to push the boundaries any further when it comes to American politics -- even when Joe Biden was announced as the winner in the presidential election.

While some celebrities on Saturday shared their reactions to the election results, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven’t shared their opinion.

The Daily Beast noted on Sunday that the couple refrained from making controversial comments about the election other than, “get out and vote.” But it predicted that the couple’s silence won’t last for long.

A spokesperson for Meghan and Harry previously told Insider that the couple stood by their decision to encourage Americans to vote.

“Part of being an active member of society is to take part in the democratic process,” the rep said.

“So encouraging people to get involved in politics is something that is important.”

The representative for the couple went on to add, “Obviously it is at a very important part of the American election cycle at the moment, but that doesn’t mean it’s specific to this time.”

Meghan and Harry remain mum over the election results. The most recent activity from the pair came on Friday when 39-year-old Meghan released a statement ahead of Social Media Kindness Day, which is on Monday.

“For so many, social media plays a big part of their daily life,” she said in a statement.

“We have access to it at the ends of our fingertips, so it ought to be a safer and kinder place for all. It saddens me that in today’s society Social Media Kindness Day is deemed necessary. But it absolutely is!”

Meghan added, “I sincerely hope this much-needed awareness day is a success. I fully support the initiative.”
