Prince William and Kate Middleton skipped Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks’ wedding on Saturday, Aug. 4.

Ainhoa Barcelona, a journalist, claimed that Prince William and Middleton were invited to the nuptials in Surrey, but they were unable to make it. She said that it is possible for Prince William and Middleton to have decided to skip the wedding ceremony and just attend the reception at night.

Prince William and Middleton recently vacationed in Mustique with their three children, as well as Middleton’s parents. But they returned to London last week. It is also possible that the royal couple is still recuperating from their recent vacation.

While in Mustique, Prince William and Middleton reportedly enjoyed a wild night together. The royal couple also attended the island’s famous Basil Bar event with the theme “A Splash of Gold.” The couple is friends with the owners of the bar.

Unfortunately for royal fans, they won’t be able to see photos of the royal family during their recent trip to the island. This is because Mustique is a very private destination and cameras cannot just be flown in by guests.

Matthew Robinson, a journalist for Express, was told by a source, “Mustique is very exclusive and press and paparazzi can’t be within a certain distance from the island, which would explain why you only see long-lens, grainy shots of the royals. Security is really tight on the island.”

Robinson’s source also revealed that the island’s security team regularly sails out on the island to check approaching vessels and ensure that no one will smuggle in cameras and video recorders. Day guests are also restricted from setting foot on certain parts of the island.

“As soon as you dock, there are taxi drives who you can hire to take you around and point out celebrity spots. We also went past the sloped runway where the private jets land. It was like something out of ‘James Bond.’ It was surrounded by lots of trees – it’s almost like a secret, hidden runway,” the insider said.
