Prince William and Prince Harry teamed up with their wives, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle, respectively, to create the so-called Fab Four.

The nickname was given to the royal couples after Markle joined the royal family. Unfortunately, the Fab Four was short-lived. While speaking with Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams explained why he thinks this became the case.

“A series of rumors began last year that there had been disagreements between the Cambridges and the Sussexes and reports of incidents, the tiara, the way Meghan was supposed to treat staff, etc. These are still disputed but their separation from Kensington Palace to go to Frogmore Cottage and the split in the Royal Foundation destroyed the myth of “the Fab Four”, which was probably always impractical,” he said.

Fitzwilliams went on to say that it has always been clear why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to split from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. This is because Prince Harry and Markle want to do things their own way, and they also want to draw the line between being public and private.

At present, Prince Harry and Markle are still unable to lead private lives because of their royal duties and responsibilities. But one day, they may achieve their goal of becoming private citizens once Prince William takes over the throne. By then, the Duke of Cambridge will become King and Middleton will become Queen.

When this happens, all eyes will be on the couple and not on Prince Harry and his wife.

Meanwhile, Fitzwilliams recently said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex feel that they are restricted by the conventional life of royals. This means that their decision to separate from Prince William and Middleton may have to do with the fact that the Cambridges are more traditional. The Sussexes, on the other hand, are more conventional.

Following their split, it was also announced that the Royal Foundation that they once shared will now solely belong to Prince William and Middleton.
