Why Princess Diana’s Sister Dated Prince Charles But Never Married Him
Princess Diana’s sister Lady Sarah Spencer dated Prince Charles but never decided to marry him.
Carly Read, a journalist for Express, said that it was Prince Charles that ended his relationship with Spencer after he caught her talking to a journalist at a plush ski resort Klosters.
James Whittaker, a journalist, told Mirror, “Sarah was disarmingly frank about her boyfriend and declared she would not marry Charles ‘if he were the dustman of the King of England.’ That was good news from where I was sitting and Sarah seemed delighted I was so keen to share it with the nation.”
Whittaker said that Prince Charles was displeased at Spencer and told her, “You have just done something incredibly stupid.” After their split, Prince Charles courted Princess Diana.
But contrary to rumors, Princess Diana and Spencer didn’t have a fall out over the former’s relationship with Prince Charles. In fact, it was Spencer that paired her sister with the future king.
During a previous interview with the Telegraph, she said, “I introduced them, I’m Cupid.”
In related news, Princess Diana also made headlines recently after it was reported that she inspired her sons to learn how to love. Judi James, a body language expert, told Express that the way Prince William shows his love for Kate Middleton, as well as the way Prince Harry loves Meghan Markle, was inspired by their late mother.
“Both boys grew up with a hugely loving and tactile role-model in Diana, but they might each have taken away totally different lessons that they now apply to their married life displays. William has always been appropriately cautious for a man who is heir to the throne and his non-verbal behavior since his teens often signal more introvert traits, in direct contrast to his to his extrovert, risk-taking younger brother Harry,” James said.
