Why 'Vanderpump Rules' Star Stassi Schroeder Was Actively Trying To Get Pregnant
Stassi Schroeder has baby on the brain.
During a recent episode of "Vanderpump Rules," the 31-year-old reality star filmed a scene that showed her getting her reproductive system checked which prompted the question: Is she trying to get pregnant? The answer is both yes and no, which she explained on the "Vanderpump Rules After Show."
"So, this summer — before I knew I was going to be proposed to — yes," Stassi admitted.
"I know Beau [Clark] is my person and the man I want to be with and I want to have a family with, and I’m not going to sit around and wait for him to propose to me for me to do the things that I want to do with him," she added.
The Season 1 veteran explained that the baby plans were not a ploy to trap her then-boyfriend, now-fiancé but a joint decision they made together.
"I’m not tricking him into a pregnancy. He was an active part of the conversation and participating. He knew what was going on. But I’m like okay, I’m going to take matters into my own hands. I can’t wait to be a mom," she said. "[So I said,] 'Then let’s just start doing this because I’m not waiting around for this anymore.' God, I’m [expletive] controlling and weird."
Those plans have been postponed though in light of her engagement and upcoming wedding.
"Oh, no. Now, I’m not," she said when asked if she was still actively trying. "I have a wedding dress to fit in, Italian wine to drink…"
Stassi and Beau aren't the only "Vanderpump Rules" couple ready to have a baby on board. Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have been open about their desire to start a family as well.
During a guest appearance on the "Just The Sip" podcast in late April, host Justin Sylvester wasted no time asking the newlyweds about the status of their "baby-making process."
"We're going strong," Jax, 40, confirmed.
Brittany, 31, added, "We're hoping that we can get a quarantine baby out of this."
Despite the couple's eagerness to fill up the empty bedrooms in their new home, Jax revealed that he did consider postponing those plans due to COVID-19.
"I wasn't sure in the beginning. I was like, I don't know if this is a good idea. I don't know how long this is going to go on," he said, referencing the coronavirus-induced lockdown in Los Angeles. "I watched 'The Walking Dead.' I saw what happened when they got pregnant in there. It's not good I was scared. I was like, what if we won't be able to get to the doctor? But I put all of that past me."
"Vanderpump Rules" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
