Why Was Brandi Glanville Fired From 'Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills'? 'Diva' Behavior Reportedly To Blame
It would appear that Brandi Glanville is the latest “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star to get booted from the franchise. She had been with the show fulltime for three seasons, starting in Season 2. It was announced Thursday that Bravo had decided that the 42-year-old’s many feuds with her co-stars lead to her removal from the cast, but is there more to it than that?
According to People magazine, Brandi’s attitude is ultimately what did her in. Sources say she acted like “a diva,” adding that it eventually became too much for the other “Housewives” to handle. When the rest of the cast began refusing to film scenes with Brandi, Bravo reportedly made the decision to axe her.
“Brandi got too big for her britches. She was a diva, and it came around to bite her,” a source said. “By the end, she couldn’t get along with anyone, and no one wanted to shoot with her.”
These claims appear to align with previous reports claiming the controversial “RHOBH” star’s ongoing conflicts with the rest of the cast caused the network to let her go. As you may recall, the “Drinking and Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance” author spent much of Season 5 at odds with Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson and former friend Lisa Vanderpump over Kim Richards’ sobriety and more. She is said to be hurt by Bravo’s decision, but understands. Sources told E! she was just grateful to have ever been a part of the “Real Housewives” family.
Brandi isn’t the only veteran housewife not returning in Season 6. On June 3 it was revealed that Kim had been demoted to “friend” of the other “RHOBH” stars. This means she may appear occasionally on the series, but it will no longer follow her storyline. The decision comes not long after her April 16 arrest. Following the incident Bravo and NBC Universal, the network’s parent company, reportedly demanded that Kim seek treatment for her alcohol addiction. She checked into a facility April 26, but her stay was short lived. Kim was given a pass to attend daughter Brooke Brinson’s wedding in Mexico provided she returned by May 25. She failed to report and has since checked into a different facility.
Neither Brandi nor Kim have made comment on their departures from the show. No further casting decisions have been made regarding Season 6 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
