Why Was 'Home Improvement' Star Zachery Ty Bryan Arrested?

Former “Home Improvement” actor Zachery Ty Bryan has been arrested and charged after allegedly strangling a woman.

People reported that Bryan has been charged with strangulation, fourth-degree assault, and interfering with making a report. Bryan was booked at Lane County Jail on Saturday around 1 a.m.

The Eugene Police Department initially received a call from Bryan’s neighbors on Friday night. When they arrived, they found the actor outside of the apartment while the 27-year-old victim was inside the home.

“An investigation found that during the dispute Bryan is reported to have assaulted the victim, impeded her breathing, and taken the victim’s phone from her when she tried to call 911,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

TMZ reported that the victim is allegedly Bryan’s girlfriend. Sources have claimed that the couple got into an argument, and it quickly became physical.

The victim reportedly accused Bryan of trying to strangle her by putting his hands around her throat and squeezing. It appears Bryan is still in police custody following his arrest.

About two weeks before Bryan’s arrest, the actor revealed that he and his wife, Carly, had decided to end their marriage. The exes share four children, Jordana Nicole, twin girls Gemma Rae and Taylor Simone, and son, Pierce Alexander.

Bryan was famously known for his role as Brad Taylor on “Home Improvement. The show also starred Tim Allen, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Patricia Richardson and Richard Karn.
