Will Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Reconcile? Celebrities Who Called Off Their Divorce
Almost a year after initiating divorce proceedings against Brad Pitt, "Maleficent" actress Angelina Jolie is reconsidering her decision, Us Weekly reported this week. However, some other reports claimed the actors were not getting back together.
A source told Us Weekly neither actor had taken any steps for a long time over moving ahead with the divorce proceedings, and it was likely Jolie was reconsidering her decision of getting a divorce from Pitt.
However, a source told ET Online there was a pause in the divorce proceedings as both Jolie and Pitt have made their children the priority, however, "nothing significant has changed in their relationship."
Regarding a reconciliation, the source said: "There isn’t one in the works." The source also told ET Online the divorce proceedings were taking so long as both the actors were taking their time.

There was no statement from either Jolie or Pitt regarding the reports.
While it remains uncertain as to what the future holds for Jolie and Pitt, there have been other celebrities who initiated divorce proceedings against their partners but later withdrew them.
From rapper Snoop Dogg and wife Shante Broadus's reconciliation months after filing for divorce in 2004 to the "Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson and his wife Alvina Stewart's announcement this year to dismiss their divorce proceedings, such examples are plenty in the glamor industry.
We take a look at some of them.
1. Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus
Dogg, who married Broadus in 1997, filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" in 2004; however, they didn't stay separated for a long time.
"I was trying to get a divorce, but I went back home and I fell back in love with my wife and kids. A lot of times you get cloudy," E News reported citing his interview with MTV at the time. "This music industry is a mother, man, and it'll take your vision and blur it. But God is good, so I understand that I need my wife and my kids in my life — so I threw the papers away. I don't want to get a divorce. So if you hear about a divorce, it'll be my wife divorcing me. It won't be me divorcing her... And I made a mistake, so I'm trying to get back right."
2. Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus
Singer, songwriter and actor Ray who married Cyrus in 1993 weren't always happy together in their married life. They had three children together — Miley Cyrus, now 23, Braison, 22, and Noah, 16. Ray also adopted Brandi, 29, and Trace, 27, from Cyrus' previous relationship. Ray has a son, Christopher, 24, from another relationship.
In 2010, Ray filed for divorce, but five months later, he called off the divorce. Again, in 2013, Cyrus filed for divorce, but the couple united a few months later, reports said.
“Life is a series of adjustments, and you just try to do the best you can,” People reported quoting Cyrus. “Like if you are going to park your car in a parallel spot and you start backing up and you don’t quite fit in, you have to back it up a little bit. But barring any unforeseen catastrophe if you make the right adjustments you will get in the spot. That’s about it. Life is a series of adjustments.”
3. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green
Fox and Green married in 2010 and had two children together, but things took a wrong turn when her career peaked and Green's career went downhill after an injury from a car accident in 2014. Fox filed for a divorce in August 2015, but almost after a year, she called off the divorce when she was pregnant. She delivered a baby boy Aug. 4, 2016.
4. Anthony Anderson and Alvina Stewart
Anderson and Stewart, who were high school sweethearts, got married in 1995. In September 2015, Stewart filed for a divorce citing irreconcilable differences and also listed the date of separation as April 1, 2014.
However, the mother of two, requested a dismissal of her divorce petition in December 2016, according to ET Online.
