Will Kate Middleton Skip Christmas With Queen After Meghan Markle Feud Rumors?
Rumors of the Kate Middleton-Meghan Markle feud are still swirling, despite recent denials. Now, one report claims the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge won’t even spend Christmas with their sister-in-law.
Like last year, Meghan and Prince Harry are expected to go to Sandringham to celebrate Christmas with Queen Elizabeth II. Some reports even suggest Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, is invited to the event.
However, the Daily Mail reports William and Kate are considering spending the holidays with Kate’s family instead. The couple is rumored to be turning down the Queen’s invite and will instead spend Dec. 25 at Bucklebury Manor in the Berkshire countryside. Kate’s siblings, James and Pippa, are expected to attend as well.
The speculation started just after Buckingham Palace issued a denial about any sort of feud between Meghan and Kate. The Sun published a report stating that Meghan was rude to Kate’s staff members, and the Duchess of Cambridge told her off afterward. “This never happened,” the statement clarified (via the Mirror).
If Kate and William spend Christmas with the Middletons, they know they’ll have a good time. The grandchildren have their own tree that they can decorate however they’d like, Carole Middleton told the Telegraph. The mother of three also revealed that she’ll have vegan options on Christmas as well as traditional fare like mince pies and mulled wine.
It sounds like she might be planning to have more than one grandchild at the house this year. “I try not to be too set when it comes to the schedule. Generally, we got to church in the morning, then a walk, open a few presents (with more in the evening). Then champagne and smoked salmon for lunch, and the main Christmas meal in the evening – but with young grandchildren, maybe we’ll move that forward and have it at lunchtime,” she revealed.
Carole is grandma to Pippa’s newborn son Arthur as well as Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Take the latest rumors with a grain of salt. While the Daily Mail says there are rumors Kate and Will could spend Christmas away, Express reports that Kate and Meghan will actually use Christmas to make amends. Fans will have to wait until Christmas to find out what the Royals really have planned.
