Will ‘A Million Little Things’ Answer Barbara Morgan Question In Season Finale?
“A Million Little Things” is coming to a close on Season One, and all fans want to know is one big thing before the show comes to an end—who the heck is Barbara Morgan and why was she so important to Jon?
However, while that question may be answered in the ABC show’s finale, Executive Producer DJ Nash is warning fans that just because one mystery may be solved though, doesn’t mean that there won’t be new questions as a result. In an interview with TV Guide, he revealed that fans will see things flip around in unexpected ways throughout the final episode.
“Just when you think you know someone, you don’t. That’s been something that has been a theme of my life, and it’s certainly been a theme of my life, and it’s certainly been a theme of the first season of the show,” he said. “And I think just when you think you know what a couple’s dealing with or going through, or just when you think you know what a person’s going through, you don’t. So in this finale, we’ll see many card flips that way, where you’re so sure a story is leading one way, and we’re going to take it a different way.”
As for whether or not that changing things and flipping them around applies to the Barbara Morgan storyline or not, Nash remained silent—but did say fans should watch Rome (Romany Falco), whose story might take another unexpected turn.
Meanwhile, one piece of the Barbara Morgan mystery may have been revealed. TV Insider released an exclusive set of photos that show Drea De Matteo’s character, who it is believed is Barbara Morgan, pregnant.
When she masqueraded as “Emma” to Sophie (Lizzy Greene) on the show’s penultimate episode, she told a story about being pregnant when her own husband died, which means this could be a flashback to that moment. However, it still provides no new answers in regards to how she is connected to Jon (Ron Livingston), or why he made her the fourth beneficiary on his life insurance.
“A Million Little Things” airs Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
