Will ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Actor Tyler Blackburn Star In ‘Riverdale’ Season 2?
“Pretty Little Liars” actor Tyler Blackburn is being linked to “Riverdale” Season 2.
According to Just Jared, Blackburn is rumored to play the role of Justin in the hit The CW series. Justin is a very popular student from Central High, the biggest rival of Riverdale High. The actor, who plays the role of Caleb in the hit Freeform series, is also rumored to play the role of Alice Cooper’s (Madchen Amick) long-lost son. Towards the end of Season 1, Alice came clean to Betty (Lili Reinhart) about giving her older brother up for adoption several years ago.

Unfortunately, executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Blackburn and The CW have not yet confirmed or denied the rumor. The most recent casting news for “Riverdale” Season 2 happened last month when Ross Butler’s replacement as Reggie Mantle was announced. Charles Melton will be giving life to character in Season 2.
Reggie is Archie Andrews’ (KJ Apa) biggest rival, but the character did not have plenty of airtime in Season 1. In the upcoming episodes, Aguirre-Sacasa told TV Line that they will be utilizing the character more. “Next season, we want more Reggie on our show – he’s Archie’s rival! – and because Ross is unavailable to come back to ‘Riverdale,’ we’re looking for a new Reggie. Those are big shoes to fill, but we’re confident we can find an actor who is as funny and sexy as Ross,” he said prior to Melton’s casting.
Other cast-related news for “Riverdale” Season 2 had to do with Skeet Ulrich. The actor plays the role of Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) dad. Ulrich has been promoted to series regular status. Also joining “Riverdale” Season 2 is the casting of actor Mark Consuelos as Veronica’s (Camila Mendes) MIA father, Hiram.
According to The CW’s description for Hiram, the character is a “ruthless, handsome, charismatic businessman who is coming back to ‘Riverdale’ after weathering a financial scandal that almost destroyed him. He is there to reconnect with his wife Hermione (Marisol Nichols) and, especially, his daughter Veronica, who is the apple of his eye.”
“Riverdale” Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. EST.
