Will ‘Rob And Chyna’ Season 2 Feature Rob Kardashian And Blac Chyna’s Wedding?
“Rob and Chyna” has been renewed for a second season.
The E! reality series starring engaged couple Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna will share the next chapter in their journey. The two, who recently welcomed their first child together, will continue to share snippets of their lives together in the next season. It is still unconfirmed, however, if the next installment will see the two as a married couple.
In a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, E! executive vice president for programming and development Jeff Olde said: “Rob and Chyna’s romance struck a chord with our viewers, who were engaged in their story even before we started filming the first season. We are excited to share the next chapter of their story.”
Prior to the announcement, there were rumors that a second season for the show was unlikely and that E! execs were already looking into putting out a show starring Chyna. The production was having problems with Kardashian being hesitant to film despite the show’s high ratings, according to TMZ. A source reportedly said at the time that Kardashian was having issues with his weight, making him uncomfortable about being filmed.
Rumors that the show will no longer continue started swirling at the same time that speculations about Kardashian and Chyna’s relationship surfaced. The two were reportedly not on good terms at the time, so having them shoot for the show was impossible. Despite the problems they went through, the two appear to have worked things out especially after their child, Dream, was born.
“Rob and Chyna” Season 2 will air next year, according to Entertainment Tonight. The show will have eight episodes, which will be executive produced by Ryan Seacrest and Kris Jenner. Kardashian and Chyna will also be on board as producers. Before the new installment airs, the show will have a television special titled “Rob & Chyna Baby Special,” which will feature the birth of Dream.
