Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are now Part-Owners of the Philadelphia 76ers
Hollywood actor Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith have become a part owners of his hometown basketball team, the Philadelphia 76ers.
Smith and Pinkett Smith are part of the 15-person investment team that bought the 76ers from their previous owners, Comcast. The players association and owners are currently locked in sour labor negotiations to see if there will even be a season this year.
They'll have to wait to make their debuts as co-owners at a game as the National Basketball Association league is currently in the middle of a lockout over a pay dispute between the players and team owners.
The Sixers sale was announced Tuesday, and it is yet to be revealed how big a stake the Smiths hold.
The couple joins Jay-Z - who is a minority shareholder in the New Jersey Nets - as celebrity NBA investors.
