Will Smith and Janet Hubert finally buried their 27-year feud in an emotional “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” reunion, decades after they stopped speaking.

Smith, Hubert and their fellow cast members Daphne Maxwell Reid, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons and Alfonso Ribeiro reunited in a “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” special that aired on HBO Max Wednesday. Apart from catching up, Smith and Hubert managed to sit down and hash out their grievances for the first time in decades.

“We never really together publicly talk about Janet and what happened. And for me, it felt like I couldn't celebrate 30 years of 'Fresh Prince' without finding a way to celebrate Janet. So she agreed to sit down and have a conversation with me. And Janet and I saw one another for the first time in 27 years yesterday,” Smith said to other stars.

Smith and Hubert, who played Aunt Viv in the sitcom until 1993, shared a hug. She went on to explain that her tumultuous personal life was affecting her demeanor on the set.

"Home life was not good at all. I was no longer laughing, smiling, joking because there were things going on that nobody knew about. Cast had no idea what was going on,” said Hubert, who was pregnant with her son during the third season of “Fresh Prince” and divorced her first husband, James Whitten, in 1994.

Smith acknowledged that during that time, he had not been perceptive or sensitive to a pregnant Hubert. However, he realized her struggles after becoming a father himself.

“I would do things very differently. I can see where I made the set very difficult for Janet,” Smith admitted.

After she left the show in 1993, her role was given to Reid. However, Hubert clarified that she wasn’t fired but instead turned down the “really bad deal” she was offered for the third season.

Addressing why their feud dragged on for more than two decades, the actress informed Smith that she was told he had “banished” her.

He admitted that at the time, he felt that everything was a “threat” to him and that it was only later that he saw “the level of pain and the level of struggle that it was for you to show up everyday.”

“Now understand you were able to move forward but those words, calling a Black woman difficult in Hollywood is the kiss of death. It's hard enough being a dark-skinned Black woman in this business. I felt it was necessary for us to finally move forward. And I'm sorry I have blasted you to pieces,” Hubert told Smith.
