Will Tami Roman And DJ Duffey Box? See What The Veteran ‘Basketball Wives: LA’ Star Has To Say About Possible Match
Tami Roman is still waiting on that charity boxing match with DJ Duffey. During Sunday’s “Basketball Wives: LA” Season 5 reunion, Tami and Duffey agreed to duel it out in the ring but apparently their supposed match still hasn’t been set up.
Following the reunion airing on VH1, Tami took to Twitter to tell fans that she’s still waiting on Duffey’s confirmation.
Duffey, who was one of the newbies on the Season 5 cast, has yet to mention the supposed boxing match on her social media accounts.
During the reunion special, Tami told host Marc Lamont Hill that she thought it was unfair her cast mates held her back during her and Duffey’s brawl in Portugal. Tami also said Duffey violated “street code” by trying to hit her while there were so many people separating them.
Although Tami refrained from attacking Duffey during the reunion, she told everyone that their feud is far from over and she found someone who was willing to sponsor her and Duffey in a charity boxing match. “I wanna beat that f---ing refabricated grill you got in your mouth,” Tami told Duffey. “I want that to be handled.”
Although Duffey said earlier in the reunion that she was a lover and not a fighter, she agreed to jump in the ring with her VH1 nemesis. “Let’s do it,” the DJ said clapping. “I would do it.”
During a recent interview on “The Wendy Williams Show,” Tami admitted that she doesn’t care about trying to patch things up with Duffey. “We didn’t know each other. I had no idea who this young lady was until she ended up on the show as a friend of a friend,” she explained. “So for me, we weren’t friends before and we don’t have to be friends now.”
Tami also told host Wendy Williams that Duffey won’t be appearing on Season 6 of “Basketball Wives: LA.” During the reunion, cast member and producer Shaunie O’Neal hinted that Duffey was going to be fired. “I can honestly tell you that I don’t think she’ll be back, she is absolutely outta here,” Tami said, adding that they have some people in mind for a replacement.
