Sorry, “For the People” fans, there will be no Season 3 of the ABC legal drama.

The Britt Robertson-led series debuted in 2018 and wraps up its second and final season tonight with its Season 2 finale. ABC made the decision to cancel the show last week, with its low ratings likely the main factor.

Out of 22 scripted ABC programs, “For the People” sits at number 19 in the 18-49 demo with a 0.5 rating and at number 18 in average weekly viewers with 2.908 million, according to TV Series Finale.

The network’s two other Shondaland series, “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How to Get Away With Murder,” were both recently renewed, with the former earning itself a two-season renewal.

Despite “For the People” getting canceled, the show will still finish up its current season, with Season 2, episode 10, titled “A Choice Between Two Things,” airing tonight and doubling as both the Season 2 and series finale.

“On Election Day, Jay [Wesam Keesh] turns to Kate [Susannah Flood] and the team for help after his parents and other voters are illegally intimidated at their polling place,” the synopsis begins. “Meanwhile, Roger [Ben Shenkman] and Jill’s [Hope Davis] relationship is at an impasse when Sandra [Robertson] learns that they are romantically involved and challenges Jill’s judgement.”

The synopsis continues: “Elsewhere, Seth [Ben Rappaport] gets assigned to the case of a lifetime, but his anxiety increases when he is appointed a bodyguard to help protect him, all while Sandra and Ted [Charles Michael Davis] take their relationship up a notch.”

The show’s cast also includes Jasmin Savoy Brown (Allison Adams), Regé-Jean Page (Leonard Knox), Vondie Curtis-Hall (Judge Nicholas Byrne) and Anna Deavere Smith (Tina Krissman).
