Will There Be 'A Quiet Place 3? John Krasinski Discusses The Possibilities
Fans of 2018's "A Quiet Place" were likely excited when they heard that a sequel was in the works. The release date for the follow-up, which stars Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott, John Krasinski as Lee Abbott, and Millicent Simmonds as Regan Abbott, has been delayed, but fans may already be wondering whether or not there will be a third installment.
According to Games Radar, Krasinski revealed to Total Film magazine that while he is open to another entry in the franchise, it is not officially set in stone as of yet.

"I set up a couple of tiny little Easter eggs in [Part] II that not only explain more about [Part] I, but would allow for more mythology," the actor said, adding, "But, being a Boston Catholic, I can’t be like, ‘Yeah, of course, there’ll be a third!’ No, not at all."
Continuing, he added that while he and the studio are in agreement that they shouldn't just keep making the movies to make money, they haven't ruled out a follow-up if it's the right fit.
"But if I could think of a way to continue this world as elegantly as people deserve, because they gave me their trust in watching this movie and loving this movie as much as they did? Sure. But if you’re asking: do I think I could just do a third one, to just do a third one? No way," he told the outlet.
Leading up to "A Quiet Place Part II," a short clip and various stills from the upcoming horror movie have given fans a bit of insight as to what they can expect when it premieres at a date to be announced in the future. In the preview, Blunt's character can be seen holding a baby, which seemingly signifies that the second movie will pick up close to where the first one left off.
Originally, "Part II" was slated to be released on Friday. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the release date has been pushed back to an unknown day.
Krasinski discussed his decision in a recent Twitter post.
"One of the things I’m most proud of is that people have said our movie is one you have to see all together,” he wrote," adding, "Well due to the ever-changing circumstances of what’s going on in the world around us, now is clearly not the right time to do that. As insanely excited as we are for all of you to see this movie... I'm going to wait to release the film til we CAN all see it together!"
