Sutton Foster’s “Younger” has been renewed for another season. TV Land

As “Younger” Season 6 comes to a close tonight with its finale episode, it’s time to start looking ahead to the future of the show.

Will there be more chapters of the TV Land series, or has it reached its end?

Luckily, fans don’t have to play the waiting game to find out because the network made its decision back in July, while the show was only halfway through airing Season 6.

“Season after season, ‘Younger’ has continued to reach new heights and build an incredibly loyal fan base,” Keith Cox, president of development and production at Paramount Network and TV Land, said in a statement, according to Variety. “We love this talented and amazing cast and can’t wait to see what [creator] Darren [Star] has in store for Season 7.”

That’s right, “Younger” has been renewed for Season 7! No start date has been announced yet, but the new episodes will likely be released in the summer of 2020, as the last three seasons (including the current one) aired during the summer TV season.

The half-hour dramedy stars Sutton Foster as Liza Miller, Hilary Duff as Kelsey Peters, Debi Mazar as Maggie, Miriam Shor as Diana Trout, Nico Tortorella as Josh, Peter Hermann as Charles, Molly Bernard as Lauren and Charles Michael Davis as Zane.

With the show not canceled and a renewal to celebrate, “Younger” fans can happily watch tonight’s Season 6 finale (episode 12, titled “Forever”) knowing that more is on the way.

“Younger” airs on TV Land on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT.
