Willa Ford, 'I Wanna Be Bad' Singer, Divorces Mike Modano
Willa Ford and her husband of five years, Mike Modano, are getting divorced, People reported.
"It is with great sadness that after five years of marriage, Willa and Mike have decided to divorce," they told People in a joint statement through her rep. "They remain friends and wish each other success and happiness."
Ford, 31, and Modano, 42, a former hockey player for the Detroit Red Wings, dated for almost four years before they were engaged in 2006, the magazine said. The couple had a small wedding in Texas with only 75 guests at a private ranch, according to reports.
It was more than 10 years ago that Willa Ford came out with "I Wanna Be Bad," but she is sticking to acting these days. She competed on the third season of "Dancing With The Stars" and is currently on the Starz drama "Magic City."
According to the IMDB, she also acted in "Universal Squadrons," "The Glades" and "Friday the 13th."
Ford, who describes herself as a "Bohemian and Southern Girl" on her Twitter account, hasn't shared any information there regarding her divorce. Her last tweet was a few days ago about a homeless man in Hollywood wearing skinny jeans.
Possibly hinting that there was trouble in her marriage that she hoped to fix, Ford retweeted @FreedomOfTweets on July 28, "When your mind says give up, hope whispers one more try."
As a result of her divorce maybe Ford will be inspired to try singing again. What do you think?
