The eleven-day royal tour of Canada and California is definitely one of the most memorable trips of the newly-wed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Day 5 proved to be equally enthralling for the royal couple as they took part in a number of exciting events from Dragon Boat racing to a game of beach volleyball.

However, despite the busy schedule, the 29-year old Duchess looked simply stunning and elegant.

Earlier, Kate Middleton took part in some formal events with her husband dressed in a cream sailor-dress by designer Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Burton was the same designer who made international headlines for designing Kate wedding gown.

Later, she changed into a figure-hugging blue trousers and a navy-overall for the challenge in Dalvay-by-the-Sea.

Another major highlight of the day was Duke William co-piloting a Sea King helicopter. His Royal Canadian Air Force counterparts demonstrated to the Duke how to carry out an emergency landing on Dalvay Lake.
