Winnie The Pooh Day 2020: Where To Watch Movies And TV Shows
January 18 is Winnie the Pooh Day, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by watching the movies and TV shows inspired by the honey-loving bear and his friends. These are all the Winnie the Pooh titles streaming on Netflix, Disney+ and more.
“Christopher Robin” is on both Netflix and Disney+. The 2018 movie follows a grown-up Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) as he reencounters Pooh and all the friends from his youth. Hayley Atwell, Jim Cummings and Brad Garrett also star.
“Winnie the Pooh” can be watched on Starz and Disney+. The 2011 animated musical comedy is only the second adaptation of A.A. Milne’s books released in theaters since 1977. It features the voices of Jim Cummings, Craig Ferguson, John Cleese and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
“Shirley Temple's Storybook: Winnie The Pooh” is available on Amazon Prime and is the only non-Disney title on this list. The 1960 film is hosted and narrated by Shirley Temple while the familiar animals of Hundred Acre Wood are played by marionettes.
Of course, the most Winnie the Pooh titles are streaming on Disney’s new platform, Disney+. The service has theatrical films, TV shows, straight-to-video releases and more in their collection. All of the following titles are streaming on Disney+:
“The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” (1977) was the Mouse House’s first theatrical Milne adaptation. The animated film includes the story of how Pooh met Tigger.
“Winnie the Pooh: Springtime With Roo” (2004) is a movie that shows Roo, Pooh and Tigger ready to go out and play now that warmer weather has finally started. However, Rabbit insists spring cleaning has to come first.
“Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year” (2002) shows the Hundred Acre Wood crew making some New Year’s resolutions, but they mistakenly think that means changing who they are.
“The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” was an animated series from 1988-1991. Seasons 1-4 are streaming.
“Pooh’s Heffalump Movie” (2005) follows Roo as he goes off on his own adventure and meets a Heffalump named Lumpy.
“The Tigger Movie” (2000) shows Tigger as he is told to go find other Tiggers to bounce with, but he thinks he is the only one. That might not be the case, though.
“Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search For Christopher Robin” (1997) shows Pooh mistakenly thinking Christopher Robin is lost, so he gathers Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore and Rabbit to form a search party.
“Piglet’s Big Movie” (2003) is also streaming. After Piglet disappears, his friends use his Book of Memories to find him and learn just how big a role they play in his life.
“My Friends Tiger and Pooh” Seasons 1 and 2 was a Disney Junior TV show from 2007-2008. It shows Hundred Acre Wood residents getting a new neighbor, 6-year-old Darby and her puppy Buster. They need viewers’ help to solve mysteries.
“The Book of Pooh” (2001) Seasons 1 and 2 is a TV series that uses puppets to show off Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and others.
