WJA to boost biz-women in India's jewellery market
Entrepreneurial zeal of Indian women is all set to get a boost as the US-based Women's Jewellery Association (WJA) is launching its India chapter with a view to boost networking among the professional women engaged in the jewellery, watches and related businesses.
The association, having 12 regional chapters across the globe, was founded in 1983 and headquartered in New York City. In India, Nirupa Bhatt, Managing Director, GIA India & Middle East will head the operations of the international non-profit organization.
The members of the association benefit from educational and networking opportunities, scholarships, design competitions and recognition programs. It's presence in India signifies the support to those women entrepreneurs who thrive to achieve success in their businesses.
The association will provide a platform for knowledge and experience sharing to the entrepreneurs. WJA holds the vision to strengthen the interests of professional women in the jewelry, watch and related businesses.
The association's official launch was scheduled for 15th of this month, but has been postponed so far.
