Woman Allegedly Fatally Stabs Husband After He Tries To Stop Her From Wearing Jeans

A woman allegedly fatally stabbed her husband after he tried to stop her from wearing jeans after their marriage.

The incident took place Saturday night in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand. The woman, identified as Pushpa Hembrom, had gone out of her home wearing a pair of jeans. When she returned home, her husband started questioning her as to why she wore jeans after her marriage. The duo got involved in a heated argument over the woman's attire, and in a fit of rage, Pushpa attacked her husband with a knife, leaving the victim seriously injured, India Today reported.

The family members of the victim immediately rushed him to a hospital, where he was declared dead.

The father of the deceased said his son and daughter-in-law often fought over her wearing jeans. "The wife stabbed her husband to death during the fight," he said.
